Hello Fellow Knitters and Crocheters!
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be feature-writing for Suite 101’s Knitting and Crochet! I’m a long-time reader of the magazine, and now I get to write beside people I’ve admired for a good while.
I found knitting and crochet years ago, and started practicing them because I found that it helped relieve stress. At that time, I had no idea how dear these two crafts would become to me, and that I was about to embark on a trip for the rest of my life. It’s truly a lifestyle! I’ll never forget all the people I’ve met since the first time I picked up a skein of cashmere yarn…
I have lots of ideas for the Knitting & Crochet topic, and will begin implementing them over the next few days. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or questions—I’m always open to them.
One of the first orders of business is to choose a name for our online Knitting & Crochet Group at Suite 101. Please visit the discussions area to talk with other knitters and crocheters, and feel free to suggest a name. All needlework artists of all levels of expertise are welcome. Let’s found a group together where we can meet and encourage one another in these eon-old crafts. A few thousand years can’t be ignored, and there’s certainly no lack of topics therein.
Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you online!
